- Manages multiple projects with multiple dependencies and integration points; projects have higher level of scope complexity. Directs the work of other project managers while at the same time providing project management leadership for projects assigned to him/her.
- Partners with project teams and Finance teams to lead cost/benefit analysis of actions and initiatives. Consolidates and communicates overall project costs, and supports the creation & maintenance of project CBA’s. Directly accountable for business labor and non-labor expenses, and ensures IT labor and non-labor expenses are properly identified and assembled in partnership with IT project manager. Controls & ensures project finance schedule and processes are completed.
- Develops, clarifies, and manages scope of project; achieves planned outcomes and targeted return on invested resources.
- Assembles project team across the business, and partners with the IT Project and Delivery managers to ensure that the appropriate IT project team is in-place to execute the project. Identifies needed resources, assigns responsibilities, and develops timeframes to facilitate successful completion of project activities and deliverables.
- Ensures all projects have an effective governance structure, including steering committee and working teams. Facilitates that governance, including status reporting, escalation, risks & issues management, and key decision-making.
- Responsible for business readiness for assigned projects and for business readiness of other project managers’ efforts. This includes, but is not limited to, marketing & communications; training; operational process/procedures; product & services development; legal & compliance; technology enablement. Leads a cross-discipline team to determine necessary tasks, establishes an overall milestone plan to govern key work items and dependencies across all work streams, and ensures appropriate transparence into each work stream’s detailed plans and activities.
- Mentors and coaches project management staff. For those project managers assigned to him/her, ensures all project governance and activities are conducted to the standards and practices of the Retirement Solutions PMO.
- Identifies, influences, sets expectations and holds stakeholders accountable to the success of the project.
- Advises on solutions to dealing with issues and risks; provides peer review to project deliverables.

- At least 5 – 7 years Retirement Services industry experience preferred
- At least 8 – 10 years project management experience strongly preferred;
- 5+ years management experience preferred
