Background/IRC Summary:
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, the IRC offers lifesaving care and life-changing assistance to refugees forced to flee from war or disaster. At work today in over 40 countries and 22 U.S. cities, we restore safety, dignity and hope to millions who are uprooted and struggling to endure. The IRC provides lifesaving direct services to women and children in emergencies and is a global leader in developing best practice and evidence-based approaches to programming for the protection and empowerment of women, girls and boys. The IRC leads the way from harm to home
The IRC is the lead agency of the Case Management Task Force of the global Child Protection Working Group (now called the Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action) as well as a key member of the CP IMS steering committee. Following the development of the CM guidelines and the CM training materials, the CM TF is now looking to develop additional tools to support the proper implementation of CM at field level as well as continue to build capacity among field practitioners. Additionally, with the launch of Primero and the roll out of the CP IMS+, IRC will be looking to support all its country programs to migrate to the new CP IMS+ as well as support new country offices interested in using the system for the first time.
Location: New York preferred but flexible to be based in Geneva or London.
