Title: Architectural technician
Salary: £37,000 to £40,000

Our dynamic, fast growing client based in Hemel Hempstead is looking for a full time RIBA Architect with proven experience in high density, multi- floor project s. The ideal candidate will have been exposed to working on commercial and residential properties.

Responsibilities
Collating and organising technical information
Investigating technical information and factors that affect developments, including user needs, site and building surveys and regulatory requirements
Preparing drawings, plans and documents for statutory approvals
Making site visits
Obtaining tenders for construction work
Liaising between members of the design and construction team
Providing professional technical guidance to design and construction teams
Providing knowledge on building regulations to current project manager and team
Creating building designs and detailed drawings
Aiding in creating planning application drawings by hand and CAD
Work closely with construction professionals about the feasibility of potential projects
Adapt plans according to circumstances and resolving problems that may arise during construction
Working and managing offshore team
To liaise competently with staff located within global offices via virtual management
Advise, appraise and report on tenders and negotiate with successful contractors
Choosing materials to be used
Specifying the requirement of the project
Dealing with factors such as town planning legislation, environmental impact and project budget
Attributes
• Member of RIBA or CIAT, MCIAT, and a career as a Chartered Architectural Technologist
• High proficiency in AutoCAD, skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, illustrator, InDesign) • Autodesk Revit Architecture or other architect software
• A minimum of 3 years post graduate working experience on Mid-rise residential and domestic projects within the United Kingdom
• Experienced in all stages from planning to conceptual and design completion
• Highly knowledgeable on UK planning procedures, building regulations and construction practice and contracts; CDM, BREEAM, EPC, and the Code for sustainable Homes
• Must be competent enough to hit the ground running
• A strong ability to meet project deadlines
