ROLE SYNOPSIS


This position will report to the Supervisor, HR responsible for the Advisory Center (Ask HR). This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the qualifications and skill level of the identified candidate. The primary focus will be to provide support to Region HR in handling day to day employee transactions for Baker Hughes North America operations (including US, Canada and Trinidad).


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES


Assist employees with HR related inquiries via phone and case management portal


Monitor case management system


Policy interpretation


Provide assistance to HR, managers and employees on payroll and benefits related issues


Process and follow through to completion payroll mass upload submissions


Assist managers, employees and HR with self-service inquiries and troubleshooting


Provide support to other work teams as needed


Handle special projects as assigned


Detail oriented with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality


Must have flexibility to operate in a fast paced environment with stringent deadlines and possess strong analytical, organizational and multi-tasking skills


Strong commitment to customer service


Must have the ability to work well with others and demonstrate teamwork


Possess the ability to leverage interpersonal skills while working effectively with co-workers in a team-oriented environment


Expert computer skills including advanced knowledge of: MSOffice Word and Excel, Adobe Acrobat Standard and company-specific databases including but not limited to Knowledge Workspaces, Taleo, SAP, Achieve and Self.


Must also have the capability to work within current external vendor databases


Possess fundamental HR knowledge, skills and abilities including the practices and procedures related to all areas of employee transactions


Ability to communicate effectively with peers, candidates, HR and managers


Results oriented, self-disciplined and internally motivated


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS


High School Diploma or GED


2+ years of experience working in a call center environment handling a high call volume


3-5 years of general HR experience


HR Shared Services experience
