A leading Managed Services IT provider is looking for a determined and enthusiastic individual to join their expanding technical team. The client support a large number of clients in various markets with bespoke configurations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Providing strong server and desktop support
- Maintaining agreed SLA’s updating ticket information as you work from diagnostics through to resolution
- Keeping clients updated as to the progress of their ticket status
- Assistingmentoring colleagues in line with escalations procedures
- Visiting client sites on occasions to resolve the problem where tickets cannot be resolved remotely
- Maintaining a high degree of customer service, professionalism and integrity
- Carrying out project installations for new hardware and software
- Producing and updating technical documentation
- Working to deadlines and adapting quickly to a fast changing environment
Required Skills & Experience:
- Have excellent experience of both Windows and Apple desktop operating systems.
- Have excellent support experience and references
- Have excellent knowledge of:
Network hardware of LANs and WANs including servers, switches, firewalls routers etc.
Windows Server 2003/2008r2/2012r2 installation and administration
Active Directory design and administration including Group Policy
Exchange Server 2007/2010/2013 installation and administration
Office 365 deployment and administration
Microsoft Azure deployment and administration
Public, Private and Hybrid Clouds
Terminal ServicesRemote Desktop in 2003/2008r2/2012r2
Citrix XenApp
Virtualisation with VMware ESXi and VCentre 4 and above
SAN and NAS technologies (HP and Fujitsu preferred)
Firewall, network topologies, infrastructure and VPN Technologies including SSL services (Dell Sonicwall preferred)
HP and Cisco Switching, Vlans, routing etc
Desirable Experience
- Network software including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP protocols
- BES – Blackberry Enterprise Server
- Back up and replication strategies (Asigra Experience is highly advantageous)
- Scripting such as Powershell, VBA, BASH etc
- SQL 2005+
- HP Lefthand knowledge
- Xen and HyperV
Previous Career Experience
- 3+ years of senior support
- 2 active manufacturer certifications including MCSE Server infrastructure and one other such as Sonicwall CSSA, VMware VCP etc
- Valid MCSA or higher
