Manager, Digital and Print Media/Design


The U.S. Fund for UNICEF is looking for a highly motivated, creative and organized designer to join its design department as Manager. Reporting to the Design Director, the position entails a variety of print and digital projects ranging from small internal projects to national ad campaigns. Commitment to detail, design consistency and typographic excellence are essential to the role. The winning candidate will be able to juggle multiple projects at once.


Key Responsibilities/Outcomes (include but are not limited to):


  • Management of brand collateral to ensure visual brand consistency

  • Creation and production of short-run design projects such as stationary, business cards, in-house brochures, email invitations, framing, photo-scanning, PowerPoint presentations and print ads

  • Ability to shepherd projects through all phases of design and production: conception, layout, bid collection, file preparation for print, and press check

  • Overseeing organization-wide materials design to ensure branding compliance, quality cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery

  • Communicate with outside vendors in the manufacture of printed products and traveling to print production facilities to ensure high-quality finished product

  • Attend briefing meetings on campaigns and offer creative ideas on how to best achieve effective results across all platforms

  • Assist in management of department

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Fine Arts or Graphic Design

  • Minimum of five years relevant work experience

  • Ability to work on multiple projects within specified deadlines in a fast paced environment

  • Strong typographic skills and a keen eye for design and photography a must

  • Understanding of print production and file preparation. Able to speak to printers and get quotes on various jobs

  • Understanding and familiarity with brand marketing and brand consistency

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign as well as Word and PowerPoint. Mailchimp, a plus

  • Basic HTML, CMS, and web design experience a plus

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, to multitask, and manage time effectively while working under tight deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills, with a keen eye for detail
