We are currently looking for Netezza Developer to join our growing Data Warehouse team at one of our premier clientrsquos location in Bellevue, WA.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience doing traditional Netezza database and SQL development.
It would be nice to have some Netezza administration experience.
Successful applicants must be proficient in the following skills Requirements Knowledge of Netezza Data Warehouse appliance hardware or software In-depth understanding of Netezza Database Appliances 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Data Warehousing and ELT design development 5+ years of experience in Netezza in following specific areas Netezza SQL Stored Procedures Performance tuning of queries Thorough understanding of Parallelism Thorough knowledge of IBM PDS architecture NZSQL, NZLOAD, Netezza Query Plan and Query tuning Must have Netezza Hardware and Network component knowledge Develop and define administrative and operational standard practices using Netezza utilities (Groom, Distribution, statistics, Zone Maps) Define and configurecoordinate monitoring and alerting events to track performance and integrate with monitoring and event solution Understanding of backup and restore, high availability and disaster recovery processes and mechanisms in order to coordinate with infrastructure, technical and business teams to ensure system availability meets service requirements Query Optimization strategies.
Analyze query execution plans, optimize query performances, and tune Netezza appliances Work collaboratively with architects and DBAs to identify, troubleshoot, review and resolve any errors and performance issues Solid experience in Netezza system configuration and setup with its utilities and tool sets Understand the differences between the traditional Transactional databases and Netezza Ability to actively participate and contribute to infrastructure design, planning and execution Strong analytical and critical thinking skills We are looking to interview and hire candidates ASAP.
