Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Work requires ability to read, write and communicate effectively at a level generally acquired through completion of a high school education.
Work requires up to four weeks on-the-job training and successful completion of the training program in order to learn depart¬ment/unit policies, proce¬dures and work routines; become familiar with medical terminology; learn use of computer system; and become familiar with locations of various departments throughout the Medical Center.
Work requires the interpersonal skills necessary to greet and provide information to visitors, answer depart¬ment tele¬phones, and communicate effectively with other members of the Patient Care Team.
Work requires analytical ability necessary to prioritize own work load to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Exceptional courtesy, tact, and liaison skills necessary in order to interact with patients, families and visitors.
