Maintenance of quality standards according to the guidelines of Snooze Food, ensuring the best possible product goes inand out the kitchen doors
Management of all HO Hemployees to ensure adherence to all Snooze policies, procedures, methods, and expectations
Ability to administer prompt, fair and consistent correctiveaction for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures
Assistance to the management team in making employment and termination decisions including interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, reviewing, and disciplining HOH team membersas appropriate
Properly training all HO Hteam memberson Snoozepractices regarding cleanliness, sanitation, safe equipment operation, and proper kitchen tool usage
Assistance to Head Chef in preparing all required paperwork, including inventory, ordering, forms, reports and schedules
Ensuringthat all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and preventative maintenance plans
Assistance in controlling food cost by following proper requisition of products from storage areas, product storage procedures, standard recipes and waste control procedures
Control of labor cost through carefulscheduling, taking into considerationforecasted sales and current staffing levels
Provide safety training in first aid, CPR, lifting and carrying objects and handling hazardous materials
As the Snooze Sous Chef – second in command of the Snooze kitchen -your primary responsibilityis ensuring that the highest quality food is served to Snooze guests, per Snooze standards. In addition, your daily activities include -but certainly are not limited to!- food purchasing & inventory maintenance, food preparation, heart-of-house leadership, sanitation standards and cleanliness standards, and training HOH staff on cooking methods, food prep, plate presentation, portioning and cost controls. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage several Snooze crew members
Exemplary communication skills: clear, timely and effective communication with other managers, HOH and FOH Snoozers, and guests
Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions with the guest experience in mind
Resolution of conflict while maintaining positive working relationships in and out of our four walls
Understanding of financial reports, inventory and ordering procedures
Understanding of local, state and federal health and sanitation laws
Obtain and maintain current foodservice management professional certifications as required
MUS Thave a minimum of 1yearof culinary management experience if its breakfast experience, all the better!
Culinary training degree or college degree preferred
Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 whole hours!) and have the stamina to work a minimum of 50 hours per week
