Our Client, a leading FTSE 250 business, is looking for an experienced Stock Accountant to join its reputable team based in Watford on an interim basis. This truly is a key role with the successful candidate responsible for ensuring strong financial control and effective business decision-making across all stock assets. This is a fast-growing company who are looking for an ambitious character who can continue to make a valuable contribution to the success of the company.
The ideal candidate will be CIMA/ACCA Qualified or Part-Qualified nearing to completion with similar experience in the finance department of a large company. You will have a strong academic record to date, including A levels (A*-B grades); at least a 2:1 degree in a finance related subject; and first time passes in any professional exams taken to date. You will feel confident in KPI analysis and profit and loss balance sheet analysis. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, having the confidence to communicate clearly with non-financial managers on financial issues. You will think logically and methodically, have the ability to work under pressure and be deadline driven.
Key accountabilities:
-Preparation of management accounts;
-Validation of cost of sales charges;
-Maintenance and recommendations for financial provisions;
-Business partnering with the audit team;
-Preparation of thorough reconciliations of all stock holdings;
-Identification of trends in stock performance
