1. Provide administrative support to County Director. Prepare correspondences and reports or information as needed. Act as liaison between clients, the public and Director for resolution of complaints. Assist with special projects as assigned. Schedule appointments for the Director. Update Director and video conference calendars. Maintain Director’s filing system.
2. Provide switchboard support.
3. Assist Human Services staff with scanning, distributing FCRB Packets, school court dockets and exception reports as required.
4. Sign agency and client trust account checks. Prepare receipts for incoming monies and forward to Fiscal Tech. Record checks received in log. Take deposits to the bank as necessary. Reconcile staff funds monthly.
5. Notify participants of upcoming meetings with DSS tex: partner’s meeting, advisory board meeting and Children’s Policy Council. Take minutes at meetings. Distribute minutes accordingly.
6. Perform Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed.
Minimum and Additional Requirements:
An Associate’s Degree.
A high school diploma and two (2) year of clerical experience. Selected positions may require the ability to type at a corrected rate of 35 words per minute.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to deal with public and with co-workers in a helpful & courteous manner. Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion with clients and material of a sensitive and confidential nature. Ability to communicate effectively. Knowledge of the operation of general office equipment. Ability to enter information into a computer. Knowledge of policies & procedures. Ability to type 35 words per minute.
