Job Description
Provides efficient and reliable mail & parcel delivery service that supports the management of patient care at Mayo Clinic Rochester Responsible to complete specimen, mail and parcel deliveries in an efficient manner. Accurately sorts and delivers mail . Transports physicians, employees and special guests on Mayo related business, when required, by vehicle. Interacts politely and professionally with patients, visitors and medical center staff. This position requires the ability to think and respond quickly while exhibiting good judgment and to work independently.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous hospital or clinical experience preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record. Some heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required. Must be able to work independently without direct supervision, including the ability to request and complete work assignment based on time sensitive schedules. Requires good communications and telephone skills. Must be able to interact politely and professionally with patients, guests and staff. Some experience required with computer usage. Must be able to demonstrate good problem solving skills and take appropriate action when given conflicting information. Requires a high degree of initiative to adapt to unpredictable and changing work requirements. Must be able to deal with stressful situations in a calm and pleasant manner. Work includes varied hours that may include days, evenings, days/evenings, holidays, weekends and overtime with rotating days off.
License or Certification:
Must have a valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record.

Schedule Details: Varied shifts covering a work unit open Monday through Friday 5:30am to 9:30pm and Saturday and Sunday 6:30am to 3:30pm.
Weekend Schedule:
Compensation Detail: Non-exempt = Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $14.25 per hour.
