Maintains an environment of safety for patients, self and others.

Works collaboratively with all areas to ensure accuracy and completeness of scheduled procedures. Schedules patient procedures while coordinating with Radiologists schedules.

Maintains accurate and complete scheduling database.
1.4
Pre-registers patient when possible and appropriate.
1.5
Obtains demographic information from patients. Enters this data into appropriate Rex information systems. Completes all federal and regulatory required forms for the registration, including obtaining signed consents and financial agreements and waiver forms.

Communicates pre-procedural/prep information to patients and/or MD office staff.
1.7
Requests appropriate comparison or previous films or previous medical records.
1.8
Contacts physician’s office for accurate patient orders, review for accuracy, make additional copies and file accordingly. Acquires and documents insurance authorizations at time of scheduling exams.
1.9
Drives Mobile Mammography Coach.
1.10
Performs morning checks for Mammography Coach prior to leaving the Rex Campus.
1.11
Upon arrival to Mammography screening site: parks in a safe location for staff and patients, levels coach, starts generator, sets up steps for patient safety.
1.12
Upon completion of screening event: unlevels coach, puts steps away, records generator hours and shuts down generator.
1.13
Transports all supplies to Mammography Coach.
1.14
Keeps interior of coach clean and coordinates times for exterior to be cleaned.
1.15
Transports/drives coach for off site maintenance appointments.
Job Qualifications:
HS or GED plus one year of related experience or training required. College degree preferred. Prefer experience in healthcare setting with exposure to patient registration or scheduling or insurance authorization processes. Requires exceptional customer service and organizational skills. Medical terminology desired.
