Dexis is seeking an experienced Project Director to provide vision, strategic direction, leadership, and overall management for an upcoming education, performance improvement, communications, and knowledge management contract, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The role involves direct client relationships, ensuring contractual compliance, and supervision of project staff. The work location for this position will be in Washington, D.C. This is a full time position.
Responsibilities
- Manage implementation, communications, logistics, budget, and staff under the contract
- Serve as the primary point-of-contact for the USAID E3 COR for all matters pertaining to the contract
- Monitor and track expenditures and prepare financial reports for submission to USAID
- Collaborate with partners, client, and stakeholder representatives, building and maintaining productive relationships
- Supervise direct reports with a particular focus on achievement of their key tasks and project deliverables
- Provide technical input for select contract deliverables including ensuring quality control and oversight for assignment report content, preparation and production
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in international education, communications, education policy and planning, higher education administration, organizational development or a related field required
- A minimum of 8 years of management experience and 10+ years of overall experience in performance improvement through organizational effectiveness, professional development and learning, knowledge management, and strategic communications.
- Experience managing large, complex, multi-million dollar projects for USAID
- Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
- Foreign language proficiency in French and/or Spanish, or other language is desirable
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a secret clearance required
