Our Sweeny Complex, located just south of Houston, is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Training Administrative Assistant in our Learning & Development organization. .

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:


Administrative Support


  • Preparing and distributing routine correspondence

  • Coordinates and schedules weekly departmental safety meetings

  • Creates and maintains training files for plant employees as needed

  • Supports Operational Excellence efforts

  • Assists Training Coordinators as needed

  • Inventorying and ordering supplies

  • Schedules training/conference rooms as needed

Budget Support

  • Assists in planning and monitoring training department budget

  • Processing/coding expense reports and invoices

Learning Management System (LMS) Administration

  • Assign training and troubleshoot problems for all Sweeny employees

  • Run daily past due reports and establish monthly metrics

  • Assist with the management of curriculums and items

  • Maintain accurate records of plant employee training files

Training

  • Schedule New Employee Safety Training (NEST) for all new employees

  • Assist with orientation for new employees

  • Run special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

Skills/Knowledge


  • High School Dipolma / GED required

  • Must have minimum of 5 years of related administrative experience

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work as needed to meet internal customer demands

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent working knowledge Microsoft Office products

  • LMS Administration experience (Plateau or SuccessFactors a plus)

  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel

  • Ability to complete assigned work with minimal supervision
