urine specimen collection and alcohol breathalyzer testing and processing for

ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTIONS:
Observes urine specimen collection and alcohol breathalyzer testing and
processing; observes the collection and processing of urine specimen and
performs alcohol breathalyzer testing in accordance with established procedures
to ensure accuracy and timeliness; notifies client, probation/pretrial officers,
Human Resources and Risk Management of test results; clearly and accurately
labels and organizes all specimens and breath test results and ensures chain of
custody procedures are followed; properly disposes specimens in accordance with
established procedures; and properly stores specimens until shipment to external
laboratory for testing and confirmation. Administrative Support: serves as
receptionist to greet visitors and ensures that all clients sign in on a daily
log sheet in accordance with established procedures; answers telephones; and
sends out letters and other correspondence to clients, court staff and/or County
staff. Record keeping: accurately and legibly completes all associated
paperwork, including but not limited to chain of custody forms; maintains
required records and documentation; and accurately performs electronic data
entry.
REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Employee must possess or be able
to obtain Certification in Department of Transportation (DOT) procedures for
Drug/Alcohol Testing within 6 months. A valid Florida Driver’s License and
favorable driving record is required where appropriate. Special
Requirements/Prescription: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to
work non-traditional office hours; and field work when necessary.
