Job Title: Hotel Valet Cashier
Reports to: Valet Account Manager & Senior Valet Account Manager
Compensation: Hourly wage of $9.00/hour (depending on experience and position)
We are currently hiring part time Hotel Valet Cashiers for our local contracts in Downtown Detroit, MI. Location operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day, year round. Opportunities for growth within the organization and an excellent work environment.
Summary: A Valet Cashier should possess excellent customer service and communication skills, a positive attitude, and a professional appearance and demeanor. A Hotel Valet Cashier should courteously and efficiently work to exceed the needs of our parking patrons and hotel guests. Hotel Valet Cashiers should also greet arriving and departing guest, offer ancillary services to guest upon arrival, provide luggage assistance, and any other services brought forth by the guest of the hotel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for tracking and logging guest keys
- Responsible organizing transient and overnight guest keys to ensure expedient vehicle retrieval for valet drivers
- Accountable for accurate deposits to ticket summary
- Able to communicate with both hotel guests and valet drivers regarding scheduled calls for vehicle retrieval times
- Responsible for being at work every scheduled day and on time
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance and arrive and maintain a complete uniform during each shift
- Report any accidents, observed or suspected violation of company policy, safety hazards, or anything unusual surrounding the vehicle or parking facility, to the Valet Starter or Valet Account Manager
- Have a vast knowledge of surrounding streets, landmarks, freeways, or any other helpful information to be able to provide to guest whenever needed
- Respond to costumer questions, complaints or any other comments in a prompt and helpful manner
- Assist Valet Starter, Supervisors, or Account Managers with any additional duties as they become assigned

Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age
- Prior customer service and cashier experience required
- Ability to read, comprehend, communicate, and write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and employees
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide and able to perform these functions using US currency
- Reliable transportation to/from work
- Able to work 8-10 hours at a time in a standing position
- Flexibility to move and lift items up to fifty (25) pounds
- Ability to multi-task
- Must be detail-orientated
