FlightCar is looking to add a Subrogation/Collections claim handler to our quickly growing team! This position is a blend of customer service work and detailed process-based task handling.
In the job, you would work with and under our Senior Manager of Damage Claims to resolve subrogation and collection claims for our customer accounts.
In general, you will be working with the staff at our Station locations, our insurance company as well as other insurance companies, repair shops, and to insure our customers and FlightCar have prompt resolution to their damage claim.
Key skills/requirements:
*Patience and ability to interact with and assure demanding customers who may be stressed out or nervous about the situation
*Organization and strong attention to details so you can constantly follow up with insurance companies, credit card companies as well as individuals to speed various collections processes along.
*Ability to understand complex situations and draft letters to insurance companies to request payment, and to write clearly and concisely to create documentation and explanations to support claims.
*Ability to be flexible so you can attend to emergency situations even during off-hours (evenings, weekends)
*Great teamwork skills to coordinate with other people in the company
*Photoshop or other basic photo editing skills
*Excellent computer skills
Prior experience in claims adjusting, collections and customer service is required. This is an office based position in our San Francisco Corporate Office.
