Position: Communications and Philanthropy Associate

Position Summary: The Philanthropy Associate is an integral part of the communications and philanthropy team. The right candidate will be indispensable to the global communications and philanthropy officer, quickly and effectively responding to daily and long-term demands placed on the department by breaking emergencies and ongoing programs.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
- Track online and snail mail donors, recording profile information, contribution amounts, and dates for sending receipts and thank you notes, as appropriate.
- Prepare and send tax receipts.
- Prepare monthly reports on donations, including analysis of impact of email campaigns.
- Source, distribute and when necessary create fund-raising collateral, such as banners, small giveaways, etc. for interested fund-raising groups and internally organized events.
- Responsible for department administration, reporting and routine correspondence
- Design and format collateral for internal and external audiences
- Create, post and monitor social media campaigns
- Write and manage web content
- Create and manage workflow and library systems for content, photographs, videos and other materials
- Create email campaigns for internal and external audiences
- Researching, organizing and providing coordination for events both onsite and offsite
Qualifications & requirements:

- Proficiency in design software such as PhotoShop, InDesign, Adobe Illustrator
- Experience with email marketing programs, such as MailChimp, a plus
- Journalism training and/or experience strongly desired. Communications background will also be considered.
- Graphics skills are a must.
