Your Objective
The Program Associate/Health should have interest and/or expertise in international development in order to participate in the management of grants from a range of donors. The Program Associate will also participate in research projects, review program documents and may be called upon to represent Plan at meeting and events. The Program Associate will work as a member of the Health Team and will play a crucial role in helping to implement field based programs. The Program Associate may be asked to contribute to project proposals.
Your Role
The Program Associate/Health will participate in the implementation of multi-year funding proposals, support the documentation of effective practice and program impact related to
Plan programs. The Program Associate/Health will support the development of project management tools – start up, close out and standard documents, they will help to cultivate relationships with other organizations and represent Plan at key meetings where requested, contribute and provide input to funding opportunities, participate in the development of processes and procedures to ensure efficient operations of program implementation
Workforce Development
Participate in the implementation of multi-year grant funded projects.
Support the documentation of effective practice and program impact related to Plan protection and workforce development programs.
Help to cultivate relationships with other organizations and represent Plan at key meetings where requested.
Contribute and provide input to funding opportunities.
Participate in the development of processes and procedures to ensure efficient operations of program implementation.
Help to coordinate meetings and events internally and externally.
Education and Experience
MA or equivalent experience in international development, education, economic development or related field.
One to three years of experience developing and implementing education projects in developing countries, preferably with a focus on children and/or youth
Knowledge of gender based programming.
Knowledge of grants management, preferably USAID funded projects.
Demonstrated ability to conduct desk research and edit technical reports.
Experience with developing project based monitoring and evaluation systems.
In-depth knowledge of use of database, spreadsheet (Excel), word processing (Word), and presentation (Powerpoint) software.
Must have the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Spanish or French will be a plus
