An emergency 9-1-1 Dispatcher receives calls for emergency assistance, types the information into a computer aided dispatch and will dispatch appropriate police, fire and EMS. The Dispatcher also keeps status on all emergency units during emergency calls.
Applicants must have the ability to multi task answering phones and radios at the same time and must be able to type at least 35 wpm.
