WHAT ARE THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION?


Our claim associates are critical to the success of State Farm due to their direct contact with current and potential customers. Employees in the contact center handle inbound calls to initiate claims and ensure prompt routing to other claim handling teams. The primary responsibilities of a Claim Associate-ILR include:


  • •Handling inbound calls in a fast-paced environment to take loss reports ensuring prompt routing to other teams

  • •Providing a remarkable customer experience

  • •Communicating with customers in a courteous manner using approved scripts via phone or written correspondence

  • •Working in a collaborative team environment while meeting quality standards

  • •Demonstrating reliability by adhering to assigned work schedule



WHAT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ARE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION?


  • •Successful completion of required training programs

  • •Listen and communicate clearly, professionally and empathetically

  • •Use established procedures, scripts and job aids while navigating multiple computer applications

  • •Educate customers on the claim process

  • •Escalate problems or inquiries as needed

  • •Maintain quality, accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced environment

  • •Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing environment

  • •Prior call center or customer service experience is preferred
