General Office Assistant 5-E7, Collections - State of Michigan - Grand Rapids, MI





The purpose of this position is to provide a full range of administrative support to assist the manager and supervisors. Handle and process payments, and issue receipt for taxpayer payments received in the Field Office(s). Assist Enforcement and Revenue Officers in meeting their performance standards. Receive and route phone calls, has face to face contact with taxpayers and their representatives to respond to general taxpayer questions, and direct the taxpayer and their representative to appropriate forum for assistance.

Required Education and Experience
Education

Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.


Experience

General Office Assistant 5

No specific type or amount of experience is required.


General Office Assistant 6

One year of administrative support experience.


General Office Assistant E7

Two years of administrative support experience, including one year equivalent to the intermediate level.
