Work Schedule: Various ToursLocation of position: Downtown Division, Nursing Services/6DDuties:•The RN must demonstrate knowledge and ability to provide a full range of practical nursing to patients with a variety of physical and/or behavioral problems
•The RN must orient/train less experienced LPNs and NAs in relation to acceptable standards of practice in promoting optimal patient care delivery.
•The RN must serve as a responsible member of the nursing team and interact in an appropriate manner with patients, family, professional and other supportive personnel involved in the delivery of patient care, incorporating acceptable, established customer service standards into practice.
•The RN must ensure that the physical and emotional environment is consistent with the vision for the veteran/family centered care.
•The RN must facilitate the admission of new patients through unit orientation, room assignments and initiation of vital signs.
•The RN must demonstrate the ability to establish a work plan and re-prioritize plan based on changing patient care needs.
•The RN must safeguard veteran/family rights to privacy and confidentiality
•The RN must remove and/or report equipment/furniture in need of repair
•The RN must document all data collected and care provided according to established guidelines
•Serves as a veteran /family advocate
