Program Objective:
The Global Health Professional and Organizational Development (GHPOD) program is a Task Order providing robust and expanding organizational development (OD) support to USAID’s Bureau for Global Health.
Position Description:
Social Impact is seeking a Senior Advisor to work 50% time to assist and advise in the design, delivery, and evaluation of organizational development (OD) activities (both in USAID Headquarters and field missions) , and support the management of On Demand requests for OD services from the USAID Bureau for Global Health Professional and Organizational Development Project. The duration of this position is through August 31, 2015, with the possibility of renewal, depending on the availability of funds. The successful candidate will join a highly-performing team that is seeking a practitioner in Organizational Development. Strong representational (speaking) and writing skills are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership, and support overall management and delivery of OD at GHPOD.
- As an OD practitioner, participate in designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating OD activities.
- Conceptualize, write, and budget LOE for program assignments that are sent to the client for approval, and to interface with the client on developing the Scope of Work for these assignments.
- Participate with the OD team and advise on discussions related to OD program direction.
- Integrate cutting-edge OD practices into OD events where deemed appropriate.
- Oversee consultant programmatic and technical work on assignments where serving as the GHPOD Point of Contact (POC).
- Write high-quality OD reports, create presentations, and communications materials; a writing sample for which the candidate was the primary/only author must be submitted with the resume.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree related to organizational development.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, designing and/or evaluating organizational development (OD) events in the areas of team-building, strategic planning, visioning exercises, competencies related to orientation, technical skills development, management and leadership, organizational development needs assessments, and programming consultations.
- Expertise in designing, implementing and/or evaluating organizational development trainings and programs related to international health programming. Experience with USAID, specifically the Bureau for Global Health a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Must be physically located in Washington, DC.
- Must be available 50% time.
