CARE is seeking Senior Advisor, Multiplying Impact that will plays a critical role in supporting CARE USA to affect the most positive change possible through our fundraising, advocacy, and transformative programmatic interventions. The Senior Advisor will also be responsible for telling the story of impact both internally and externally, including overseeing the implementation of an annual Impact Innovation Jubilee. She/ He must be globally interested and possess a justice orientation, as well as take up other initiatives as assigned by the VP-PPL (Program, Partnerships and Learning).
The incumbent will sort through impact data and emerging initiatives to discover the most promising and innovative initiatives through data, pictures and stories. She/he will guide decision making on how to invest resources to scale inside and outside CARE. The success of this role will translate into greater collaboration across the organization on achieving impact, greater focus on designing for scale, and greater alignment of resources to invest in multiplying impact. The position will report to the VP of Program, Partnerships and Learning (PPL).
Responsibilities:
Lead Impact Attainment
- Coordinate between sub-regions and portfolio managers to set impact targets, collect data, analyze impact and implement strategic impact inquiries
- Coordinate a cross divisional, effective design team to develop a multiplying impact system, applying a whole systems design approach and supporting linkage between operations, technical expertise and relationship managers
- Develop incentives for sharing and collaboration throughout PPL and CARE
Find and Support Scaling of High Impact, innovative initiatives
- Choose how to invest resources to scale high impact initiatives with the potential of influencing positive change in the lives of one million or more people
- Annualize the impact innovation jubilee and continually advance the quality of external actors and level of commitment within CARE for the event
- Document and harvest design best practices based on evidence
- Review the impact growth strategies for potential scaling of high impact initiatives in other geographies
Qualifications:
- Advance degree and work experience in program design and global development, including business, communication, journalism, international relations, international development, public policy, social sciences or law;
- 5+ years of progressive professional experience in program design;
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate well with others across countries and cultures and develop and maintain positive working relationships;
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute research and evaluation studies;
- Proven success in a role requiring influencing change without line management responsibility
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
- Familiarity with policy, social norms, and community-led change;
- Strong leadership skills, including a demonstrated ability to set priorities and manage diverse teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and produce results in a timely manner
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Fluency in the English language;
- Advanced expertise in Word, PowerPoint and other relevant technology tools.
