Position Description:
Clif Bar & Company is looking for a RECEPTIONIST for Clif Bar Baking Company.
The ideal candidate will have an immediate connection to our Five Aspirations, as well as embody the “Clif Bar Ingredients” (Create, Inspire, Connect, Own It, and Be Yourself).

The Receptionist is accountable for receiving and directing incoming calls to Bakery employees and for receiving and announcing visitors with exemplary customer service and in a way that projects a strong, positive first impression of Clif Bar Baking Company. The incumbent prepares, maintains and updates company-wide information with a clear understanding of department structures, how to reach other employees, and customer- service-oriented phone, voice mail and e-mail protocols. In addition to managing and maintaining the front desk and reception area.
Primary Responsibilities
Ensure personal safety, food safety and quality protocols are followed.
Arrive on time consistently to open reception area. Secure reception area at end of the business day.
Receive and route incoming calls and receive visitors in a way that exemplifies exceptional customer service, conveys the image and values of Clif Bar & Company, and offers voice mail only as a last resort.
Develop and maintain a good understanding of the Clif organization and employee responsibilities, so that calls can be routed correctly the first time. Document information in a clear, accessible front desk reference manual that must be updated frequently to be used by back-up receptionists.
Maintain a neat and organized reception area.
Welcome visitors with sample products and water displayed and offered in the spirit of hospitality.
Assist various departments with project work, including sorting, mailings, and data entry.
Coordinate with departments to facilitate various activities such as deliveries, supply orders, building access, security systems, and maintenance requests.
Perform other duties as requested.

Have strong customer-service skills.
Prior experience maintaining communications protocol information and desk manuals.
Have good written and verbal communication and active listening skills.
2 plus years’ experience as a receptionist or similar office support role in a fast paced, consumer- and customer focused environment.
Leadership Skills Required
Take ownership and responsibility for actions, behaviors and contributions.
Strong ability to inspire and motivate self and others.
Technical Expertise Required
Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel or similar software is required.
