RECORDS CLERK/DATA ENTRY AIDE (4 Positions) - The State of Rhode Island - Rhode Island





To input data relating to the daily activities of the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal into the court case management system(s); to perform varied clerical functions of a responsible nature; perform general office duties; assist members of the public with information requests both on the phone and in person. In addition, position will be responsible for the following: processing mail and other correspondence and payments, assisting in the collection and processing of court fines and fees, preparing and scanning cases for processing into a document management system, organizing case files for court calendars, performing messenger services, assisting in general courtroom duties and calendar calls; and performing related work as required.

Required Qualifications for Appointment:
Graduation from high school required; courses in modern office practices or graduation from a college of recognized standing preferred. Courses in typing and/or data processing and knowledge of Microsoft Office helpful. Experience such as may have been gained by employment in a position requiring knowledge of data processing and modern office practices, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to the above requirements.
