Answers and screens telephone calls; manages calendars, schedules and coordinates appointments and meetings; makes travel arrangements; prepares and processes invoices, expense reports and variance reports; orders and maintains supplies; handles incoming and outgoing mail; and performs other clerical duties as required
External Qualifications:
Education –
Typically requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent from college or technical school
Experience –
Three or more years of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities –
- Knowledge of administrative, clerical and office management processes and systems.
- Knowledge of legal terminology, documentation and procedures as pertain to areas of responsibility.
- Ability to use general office equipment and computer applications.
- Ability to read, write and interpret work related documents that may be complex.
- Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with elected officials, co-workers, management and the general public.
- Reasoning ability to carry out detailed instructions and problem solving.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines
