Working around your availability we offer you shifts to suit your lifestyle including days, evenings, nights, sleep in and weekends. We can offer you a variety of regular or adhoc shifts at White Leaf Care. On top of excellent rates of pay White Leaf care also offers an enhancement of £1.50 per hour for working over the weekend!


The Role


Working for White Leaf Care you will be supporting young adults who have Autism, Asperger and mental health Some of your duties throughout a shift will include:



  • Supporting individuals in the community with their activities, e.g., swimming, bowling, horse riding, meals out.




  • Personal care (toileting , washing , dressing),




  • Assistance at meal times (support with feeding if required & monitoring the individuals during meal times)




  • Supporting the individuals with house work and cooking, emphasis on supporting the individual’s to upskill daily living skills




  • Communicating and reporting to senior staff and families, also external professionals




  • Completing relevant charts and paperwork




  • One to one work with individuals


    Required Skills and Experience




  • To apply for our Bank Support Worker roles, you will need to have at least six months experience in the last three years in a residential home or day Centre




  • A caring and compassionate attitude and an understanding of the role is essential


    Experience of behaviors that can challenge




  • You will need excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in order to maintain accurate records and update care plans, when required, effectively communicate with all colleagues, service users, relatives, support staff, senior staff and homes manager as well as visitors and external professionals in a professional manner at all times.




  • Due to the nature of the role you will need to self-motivated and work well under pressure




  • It would be ideal for candidates to have the following training: Epilepsy, Buccal Midazolam, Food Hygiene, MCA, DOLS, SOVA, Medication, Health and Safety.


    White Leaf Care will also provide additional training, to help you support the individuals in our services, e.g. ProAct – Scip training Autism and Behavior management training.
