Off to Work have been exclusively retained to source a Restaurant and Bar Manager of true quality for our clients branded restaurant business. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the business for which they are responsible, to operate and maintain the unit to ensure that profit is maximised whilst ensuring that all company and brand standards, policies and procedures are adhered to.


Key Areas of Responsibility


Operational ·Maintain food and service quality and consistency in line with Company standards. ·Uphold standards of quality, presentation and cleanliness throughout the restaurant. ·Ensure that the business is effectively managed and staffed at all times. ·Complete and operate an effective business plan for the restaurant. ·Ensure all equipment is used correctly in compliance with all Hygiene & Safety Regulations and Company procedures.


Financial·Maximise profitability through driving sales and controlled margins whilst maintaining company standards. ·Forecast and monitor profit and loss on a weekly basis. ·Be responsible for the implementation of local marketing initiatives that build on and develop current sales levels. ·Ensure that all daily, weekly and period paperwork is completed and forward to the relevant departments. Ensure, at all times, that the company financial controls and paperwork are adhered to and operate all transactions highlighted in the company cash handling policy. ·Be responsible for the management of stock, security and wastage and implement initiatives to control any areas of concern.


People·Ensure that the Guest receives at all times the highest standards of product, presentation and service. Ensure all staff receive regular and prompt training in compliance with Company standards and where applicable by law. ·Take responsibility for the recruitment and management of all employees whilst ensuring that all related employment legislation is adhered to.


Person Specification·Legally allowed to work in the UK ·Hold a valid, current driving licence. ·Hold the National Licensees Certificate ·Management Degree / Diploma or equivalent ·GCSE level C or equivalent in Maths & English. ·Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent ·Basic Health & Safety Certificate


Skills, Experience and Knowledge·Ability to converse clearly with guests and colleagues at all levels. ·Have Management experience at some level. ·Able to fluently read instructional and procedural manuals and documentation ·Good man-management and leadership skills. ·A minimum of 18 months Management experience gained in a similar position. ·Possess a commercial and financial knowledge ·Computer literate ·Experience of forecasting, planning and budget management
