This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring Junior Web Developer/Designer to join an award winning medical supply company based near High Wycombe.


In this busy and varied in-house role, you will support the Digital Brand Manager with maintaining and developing the company portfolio of websites and implementing a strategy to help the company move forward with their digital marketing activity.


You will hold direct responsibility for maintenance and ongoing improvements to the company Intranet (using a DNN CMS platform) and will be involved with supporting the Marketing department with a range of basic graphic projects such as PDF updates, banner advertisements and simple creatives using Photoshop or InDesign.


Other regular tasks to include: content uploading to the company websites; reviewing and maintaining best practice HTML; sourcing, implementing and developing CMS modules; contributing to the overall strategy to help improve user experience; creating a range of rich media creatives for web use including infographics; assisting with layouts, testing and creating lists for email campaigns as well as other ad hoc design, development and digital marketing projects as they arise.


You will be able to demonstrate experience of these skills, either commercially or through your education, and have a portfolio of your work to date. You will possess excellent attention to detail together with the ability to work well collaboratively in a team and good verbal / written communication skills.


You will behave in a professional manner at all times and you will build professional relationships with customers that will enhance the Company’s quality image.


The following qualities are Essential for the perfect candidate:


  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, Javascript

  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems – Dot Net Nuke and WordPress in particular – both maintaining these and using them to upload content

  • Skilled with using Adobe Photoshop / InDesign to create a range of graphics – particularly infographics, web banners and to edit PDF document layouts

  • Experience of creating layouts for email marketing platforms

  • Demonstrable understanding of and interest in User Experience and how to improve this

  • Knowledge of setting up and maintaining Google Analytics tracking code

  • Must have portfolio of work samples both for graphic design and web development projects

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and standard of English

  • Excellent attention to detail, proofing and artworking skills

  • Ability to interpret verbal and written briefs

Desirable:


  • Knowledge of CRM systems

  • Regular user of social media – particularly Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn

  • Experience of sending campaigns via email marketing platforms – compiling recipient lists and testing

  • Experience of liaison with external agencies

  • Experience using Web Master Tools

  • Some knowledge of Google Analytics – ideally including setting up filters and segments

  • Some understanding of Pay Per Click advertising

  • Some understanding of SEO, metadata, back-links and factors which will influence site traffic

  • Knowledge of the pharmacy / health sector advantageous but training will be provided

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant field – computer science / digital marketing / or demonstrable relevant work experience

  • Experience with video – filming, editing, file conversion

  • Team player with a positive, “can do” attitude
