WORK DAY/YEAR: Full-time – 8 hours per day; approximately 8 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.; 260 days per year
CLASSIFICATION: Off Schedule; B-3-1
SALARY: starting at $32,721
Job Summary
:
· Conduct registration of new students into the District and compile data on their residence and needs; work with appropriate district contacts to ensure appropriate school placement in a timely manner.
· Collect and disseminate academic and health records for students entering/exiting the District.
· Maintain Skyward database with accurate data for all students residing in the Rochester Public School District; which includes processing of open enrollment forms and entering new students into database.
· Maintain State Student ID System role with Minnesota Department of Education to ensure state ids are assigned and accurate for work in collaboration with Early Childhood Community Education, Head Start and Research and Assessment.
· Evaluate current processes and use technology to make improvements.
· Disseminate information on behalf of the district regarding school boundaries, registration requirements, alternative education options, and state immunization mandates.
· Assist Registration & Records Manager in monitoring budget; procure needed supplies and equipment necessary for the operation of the department.
· Perform other tasks within the level of responsibility indicated above.
Qualifications
:
· Strong human relations and communication skills.
· Ability to take initiative, prioritize, organize, manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, problem-solve, work independently, and handle frequent interruptions.
· Must possess a positive attitude and a willingness to assist and support customer needs.
· Excellent computer skills, experience and proficiency with the following programs: Microsoft Word, Excel and Access; experience with Skyward preferred.
· Flexibility in working hours during peak times throughout the year.
