Job Title: Support / Membership Officers
Location: Watford, Herts (3 min walk from Watford Junction)
Salary: £20,500 to £26,500 + 5% Pension Contribution after 3 months
Hours: 35 Hours per week / Flexi hours
The British Polio Fellowship is a well-established national charity supporting the 120,000 people in the UK who are Polio survivors. Two Support / Membership Officers roles have arisen due to a recent relocation to Watford and provides an exciting opportunity to lead, shape & develop our Support services to Members. Support / Membership Officers are crucial to the charity & a focal point of membership communication & outreach.
The Role: Support / Membership Officer:
• Deal efficiently, accurately, sensitively & confidentially with enquirers & refer on or take appropriate courses of action to support an enquirer
• Manage smooth administration & up-to-date record keeping on behalf of the Support Services team at Central Office
• Assist in the Welfare Grant reviews & handling grant information
• Contribute to the development of support services literature & any other relevant resources & contribute to the proactive updating of Support Services website sections to keep these current
• Provide & develop monthly reports, keep data & statistics for monitoring & campaigning purposes & for use by other departments as requested
• Ensure all enquiries & changes to members’ status are logged & administered on the in-house database within 48 hours of contact or notification
• Collate & dispatch enquirer & new membership information packs within one working week
• Administer Certificates of Membership & Data Monitoring forms
• Oversee & ensure monthly updates to all branches on changes to membership & information on new branch / group members is sent.

You will also need strong IT skills, excellent communication, organisational & interpersonal skills, & the ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team. Ideally you will have experience of working in a health or social care setting.
