Health Assistant I job - Harvard University - Cambridge, MA

Works as a member of the Medical Specialties / Front Desk team; our goal is to provide outstanding health care and customer service to our patients. Serves as the primary contact with patients; duties include: greeting patients in person and on the phone; routing messages; scheduling appointments; collecting co-pays; registering patients; and managing patient flow. Other administrative duties include: tracking referrals, assisting with correspondence; developing and printing reports; and maintaining files. Performs other related duties as required.

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent Business/Secretarial school training-preferred. Patient service experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.


Additional Qualifications

Must be a self-motivated individual with ability to work both as a collaborative team member and independently. Must have proven ability to effectively multi task and handle competing priorities, to take initiative, to troubleshoot, and to work effectively within a close team environment. Must be flexible and enjoy a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivery of high quality customer service required.
