The Broadcom Wireless LAN Software Group has written code enabling wireless functionality in a wide range of devices;

Our team designs custom solutions for our customers, you will work with HW/SW teams to design and develop products from pre-silicon stage all the way through to full software reference designs.
This group makes significant contributions to the bottom line at Broadcom and the Mobile and Wireless Group (MWG) is the fastest growing business unit in the company. You will create innovative and differentiated products with less restrictions in new product development as new designs emerge daily.
Job responsibilities
– You will be architecting and implementing 802.11 features and extensions in the driver
– You will develop drivers and applications for a variety of embedded operating systems and Broadcom Communications chip-sets.
– You will make optimizations for power and memory footprints on the firmware and host drivers/software
– You will be involved in low level hardware bring-up and debugging of the firmware and drivers
REQUIREMENTs:
– Total engineering minimum experience required is typically a BS degree and 15 years of experience, an MS degree and 12 years of experience or a PhD and 9 years of experience or equivalent.
– BS (EE/Electrical Engineering or CS/Computer Science) required, MS (EE or CS) preferred or equivalent.
– Proven experience in working device driver
– Strong knowledge/experience in embedded firmware development, experience on chip/board bring-up preferable
– Experience in pcie driver and usb driver highly desirable
– Deep experience with Linux kernel and networking driver highly desirable
– Fluent in the assembly, C language and embedded debugging The following skills are not necessarily required but are highly desirable:
– General knowledge of 802.11 wireless networking and wireless gateway is a plus
