Contribute to standardization process, mainly IEEE, in the area of WLAN. Work on current generation and next generation WLAN systems (802.11ax, 802.11ah, 802.11af, etc). Work on proposals, algorithm design, interact with hardware and software teams. Use and develop simulation programs for evaluation of various techniques. Intellectual property development. Interaction with other companies. Attend standardization meetings. Systems design (transmitter and receiver) work for chip development and laboratory work (chip bringup). Perform lead engineering role in these tasks.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Total engineering minimum experience required is typically a BS degree and 15 years of experience, an MS degree and 12 years of experience or a PhD and 9 years of experience or equivalent.
- MSEE (Electrical Engineering) required, PhDEE preferred or equivalent.
- Excellent knowledge of existing 802.11 standards and amendments, emphasis on MAC, PHY knowledge a plus
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Very strong knowledge in 802.11 and upper layer protocols
- Strong in innovation and intellectual property development
- Experience in analysis of protocol efficiency and behavior to support proposed protocol functions and features
- Good team player
- Excellent individual motivation required, works independently to develop new ideas, investigate and research new topics
- C, C++, perl, matlab, etc. programming languages
- System simulation experience highly desired, ns2, ns3, opnet, matlab, etc.
