Account Rep - Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama - Montgomery, AL





Primary Responsibilities

Incumbent will provide support and service to State Group administrators and State Large Group Sales staff in order to achieve sales, retention and service objectives. Incumbent will also conduct State Group benefit presentations and respond to and resolve inquiries from State Group administrators and members. Other duties will include research related to issues between State Groups and various departments and general assistance to State Account Executives and State Account Managers.


Summary of Qualifications


Bachelor’s level degree

Experience in a position interpreting information both orally and written

Ability to obtain and maintain an Alabama insurance license if selected

Experience in a position requiring the ability to organize and/or prioritize tasks

Experience in a position making formal presentations

Experience in a position exercising independent judgment and decision making

Knowledge of claims processing procedures

Experience in a customer contact position requiring problem solving

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (in and out of state)

Knowledge of health care industry trends at local and national levels

Knowledge of Blue Cross and Blue Shield benefits and products (advanced knowledge preferred)
