GSS Gear, a leading supplier of tactical equipment to military and law enforcement, is seeking a FULL-TIME Client Specialist.
Our Client Specialists are responsible for generating sales, servicing accounts and maintaining client relationships to ensure that the company and department meet its sales quotas and maximizes new product sales.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Following an aggressive prospecting program to obtain optimum results
- Implementing methods and strategies that will penetrate the marketing area and bring about successful sales from the target markets
- Ensuring maximum customer satisfaction and providing outstanding service to encourage the future use of the company
- Ensuring that all documentation, purchase orders and contract vehicle information has been accurately completed, reviewed, approved and have been received prior to allowing customer to take possession of the products
- Meeting and/or exceeding monthly and quarterly sales goals
- Maintaining an awareness of business related trends, advances and improvements and determining the economic impact of any financial, technical or political activities that could affect sales and the business
- Making suggestions regarding the identification of products, which should be carried and sold based on the amount of customer requests, current customer base, market trends, and industry technological advances
- Negotiating pricing, promoting contract agreements and generally developing strategies to improve sales
- Assisting in the development of Sales team promotions, marketing techniques and strategies
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or its equivalent is the minimum educational requirement; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- Three or more years in sales; experience in the military and/or tactical-related industry
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Able to motivate customers and potential customers into making purchases
- Knowledgeable in the variety of products offered by the Company
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to employ a high level of professionalism in all interactions with employees, clients and vendors ; ability to handle difficult situations tactfullyMulti-task oriented to handle the daily functions required by the position and daily workload
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with little direction and to problem-solve in the absence of supervision
- Outstanding work ethic, ability to self-motivate and thrive in a fast-paced environment with a healthy sense of urgency
- Ability to calculate and understand interest and margins and to complete routine arithmetic computations well enough to check cost, list, margin vs. mark-up and contract fees
- Ability to accurately document and process contracts
- Standard computer skills and proficiency
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite; experience in using an enterprise resource platform (ERP) is preferred
- While performing duties of this job, will occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus
Pay and benefits:
Competitive annual salary plus sales commission. Eligible to participate in group health and dental and 401(k) after applicable waiting periods.
