HR Office Assistant - Adrian Dominican Sisters - Adrian, MI






The position is responsible for office administration in the department of Human Resources on the Adrian Dominican Sisters campus. Responsibilities include filing, record keeping, data entry, updating bulletin boards, answering phones and special projects. Perform all duties consistent with the mission, vision and values of the Congregation.


  • Provides clerical support for the Human Resources department to facilitate the successful daily operation of the Office of Human Resources.

  • Serves as an information source for co-workers regarding human resources efforts by directing them to the proper individual who can successfully answer their questions.

  • Assists with department sponsored campus events by creating postings, preparing/maintaining information on the intranet site, making room reservations, and taking meeting notes.

  • Assists with the hiring process by posting positions, tracking applications, creating photo ID’s, assisting with orientation presentations and preparing orientation packets as instructed.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications


  • Associates degree preferred, or equivalent office experience.

  • Three to five years of office support experience with an understanding of basic human resource functions.

  • Three to five years of experience utilizing the skills and abilities listed below.

  • Experience in record keeping, computer databases, and spreadsheets. Demonstrated office and business experience, preferably in a Human Resources office

  • Demonstrated computer knowledge and skills, proficiency in MS Office Suite

  • Ability to maintain a superior level of confidentiality

  • Ability to communicate with tact and professionalism

  • High level of organizational skills

  • Above average communication skills including verbal, written and listening

  • Ability to successfully function in a changing environment

  • Ability to represent the department in a professional way in all communications.
