Chemonics seeks a writer-editor to work with staff company-wide to produce proposals and technical materials. The ideal candidate is dedicated to editorial excellence and enjoys working with writers of varying ability across technical disciplines. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
• Edit internal and external communications, including proposals and project reports
• Occasionally write proposal sections or project reports
• Help technical experts become better writers
• Serve as a communications resource for home- and field-office staff
Qualifications:
• Bachelor"s degree required; major in English, communications, or journalism preferred
• Minimum three years of editing experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing
• Ability to quickly adjust to changing priorities and deadlines
• Knowledge of USAID and its operations a plus
• Fluent Spanish, French, or Arabic a plus
• Permanent U.S. employment authorization required
