To provide high-level, confidential project execution and administrative support to the executive director and other GFI staff by performing the tasks outlined below.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage and support the executive director’s schedule by maintaining and tracking the schedule, booking all travel arrangements, scheduling and confirming meetings, and managing general calendar
- Ensure donor database is up-to-date with executive director’s notes from donor meetings and other oral and written donor communications
- Initiate, manage, and complete projects as assigned by the executive director that may involve convening groups of staff, consultants, and others; collect and analyze data; carry out research; and present data
- Draft letters, correspondence, keynote presentations, and general information/materials
- Manage all general inquiries to the executive director and some other GFI staff as requested, including telephone calls and email
- Provide administrative and accounting support to the executive director, including completion of expense reports, etc.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, nonprofit management, or communications (preferred)
- Minimum of three years’ work experience in a related field (nonprofit or customer service position highly preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as high degree of organization and efficiency
- Self-motivation with ability to work well independently and under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work creatively and effectively as a member of a team
- Proficiency in MS Word, Keynote and/or Powerpoint, and MS Excel
- Professional appearance and adherence to a vegan lifestyle
- Friendly, positive, client/customer service-oriented personality
- Commitment to GFI’s philosophy and mission
