The Crowne Plaza Dallas Downtown, a 300-room upscale hotel with 30,000 sq. ft. of meeting and banquet space, is seeking service-oriented front desk agents and supervisors. Ideally, you’ll have at least two years of experience in a full-service hotel front office environment and have a reputation for delivering truly exceptional service.We offer an excellent pay and benefits for top talent!


STARTING PAY: up to $15/hourlyThe Crowne Plaza Dallas Downtown has just completed a $20 million renovation and is the recipient of the 2010 IHG Crowne Plaza Renovation of the Year, and 2012 Crowne Plaza Meetings Excellence awards. Our renovation added 30,000 sq. ft. of versatile meeting and banquet space along with a brand new, upscale, state of the art, modern restaurant and lobby lounge. The Crowne Plaza Dallas Downtown is also the home of the well known THRIVE Night Club.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Answer the telephone in a professional manner and assist guests with any questions, directions to the property, etc. Maintain and improve the quality of the guest experience.Assist guest services, safety services, housekeeping, and engineering team. Communicate with all departments regarding in-house guests. Check guest in, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted and fulfilled, and accurate information is established. Must have excellent communication skills. Must be able to stand/walk up to 8 hours per day.Follow set procedures on posting, charges, and refunds. Must have experience in OPERA property management system or equivalent. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must be able to deal with frequent change. Must perform front desk shifts as needed to ensure efficient operations. Must be skilled in computers plus OPERA or equivalent experience. Must have excellent guest service skills, proven conflict resolution skills, and proven leadership skills to drive initiatives to improve the team and the business. Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines. Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner. Maximize efforts toward productivity, identify problem areas, and assist in implementing solutions. Must be able to understand and evaluate information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives. Develop employee morale, and ensure training of Front Office personnel. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.Time management skills. Ideal candidate must have the ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, be a team player, and be able to creatively think and work within the full spectrum of all that is involved to be successful. College education is preferred but not required.
