Position Summary – Assessor Reviewer:
This position is responsible for face-to-face assessments of vulnerable populations for various clients. Persons being assessed reside in the community or in facilities. Assessor Reviewers also may complete review decisions regarding services needed to be successful in the community.
These positions will be geographically spread across the State of Maryland, for home-based positions that travel in each selected geography.
Essential Functions – Assessor Reviewer:
70% Performs face-to-face assessments of persons with disabilities. Collaborates with health care providers and ancillary service providers to create or validate the appropriate treatment plan.
20% Documents assessment results for the individual member status, and negotiate service plan as needed.
5% Provides ongoing education. Communicates with all health care providers to ensure appropriateness of care.
5% Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements – Assessor Reviewer:
– Four year degree in health care or related field and/or equivalent training and/or experience.
– Licensure as a health care provider or current RN license.
– Minimum 1 year experience in working with persons with disabilities.
Additional Comments – Assessor Reviewer:
Experience in human services is strongly preferred… such as a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) or Brain Injury Specialist.
Positions working on specific contracts may require valid driver’s license, first aid/CPR certification, and up to 70% local and overnight travel.
Some positions may require an RN license.
Telligen is hiring approximately ten Assessor Reviewers, geographically spread across the State of Maryland, for home-based positions that travel in each selected geography. The effort is part of the “Utilization Control of Selected Hospital, Nursing Facility, and Home and Community Based Services” work, as part of the Maryland Medicaid Program.
