STNA MKV FT 7 AM till 7 PM shift only - Maple Knoll Communities - Cincinnati, OH





Maple Knoll Village, a continuum of care retirement facility in Springdale, OH, is looking for full time STNA’s for our 7 am until 7 pm shifts.

The primary purpose of the State Tested Nurse Assistant (STNA) position is to provide residents with routine daily nursing and personal care services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan and also within the standards of safety, sanitation, departmental budget and established policies and procedures. This position is also required to document the care and services in an accurately and timely manner.

Responsibilities: • Greets and assists residents with the transitions to and from the Nursing Home; including but not limited to; storing and marking personal clothing and possessions, introductions to staff and roommates; ensuring the necessary supplies and equipment are available to the resident.

• Ensures a successful transfer of pertinent, resident-related information between shifts/assignments and reports all changes in a resident’s condition to the nurse or supervisor as soon as possible.

• Follows work assignments/schedules and successfully completes all tasks.

• Considers the individual desires, needs and limitations of each resident prior to providing care and/or services.

• Ensures residents are in a correct and comfortable position.

• Responds to resident requests (call lights, etc…) promptly and courteously.

• Assist residents with dental and mouth care, bathing functions, hair care, nail care, ear and eye care as directed and scheduled.

• Assists residents with dressing/undressing as necessary. Ensure a clean, dry and appropriate appearance in accordance with resident desires, if applicable.

• Assists with resident bowel and bladder functions; maintaining input/output records, obtaining specimens; giving enemas; catheter care, vaginal irrigations

• Assists with walking, lifting, turning, moving, positioning and transporting as needed.

• Maintains a safe and clean living environment for the resident by making and changing bedding, assisting with personal laundry, storing items appropriately and keeping the room tidy.

• Performs restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed.

• Performs weights and measurements as instructed.

• Facilitates resident’s meal service to ensure the resident receives food for therapeutic diets in accordance with planned menus, receives substitute foods as authorized.

• Promotes and assists the resident in attending/participating in activity and social functions as appropriate.

• Works cooperatively with other departments; including but not limited to; Therapy, Housekeeping and Food Service to ensure the residents’ needs are met.
