Recurring Event Coordinator X Games (Austin) job - ESPN - Austin, TX
This is a recurring position supporting X Games Austin from event planning in March, April and May, to event execution in June. This position then supports X Games Aspen from October -January. The Event Coordinator supports Event/Venue Operations functions with a running list of tasks supporting a smooth workflow within the Operations Office. This person must maintain a positive relationship with all functional areas and our hosts, while protecting the best interests of the event and ESPN. The candidate will exhibit and promote the core X Games values and priorities providing leadership in the coordination and management of event information, staff, vendors, and office spaces.

Responsibilities
Management of the Operations online Staffing database powered by Marcato, supporting the coordination of departmental staff services including housing, travel, and uniform needs, radio and credential assignments, and event contact information
Administer the set-up of departmental event staff payroll and vendor contract and insurance agreements
Coordinate the Radio channel plan, inventory tracking, shipping and rental needs, event and vendor staff correspondence and distribution of radio etiquette and training information
Manage Directional Signage equipment and Office Inventory needs, place supply orders and facilitate On-Site Directional Signage Plan
Work with COTA to create and manage Guest Surveys
Coordinate Cross Departmental Requests for the Operations Department including but not limited to heavy equipment, office equipment, office supplies, and the Monster product infrastructure grid
Organize and Update the Operations Department Venue Photos Database on ESPN shared/online drives
Potentially support Event Production planning processes (TBD)
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year previous experience working large scale, multi-sport, multi-discipline, televised sporting events
Availability to work approximately 2 days/week during the designated planning period of the event and for the entire duration of the on-site work assignment from approximately May 11th- June 19th, attending training days/calls as needed, including long hours standing and walking in a hot, summer environment
Expected to possess superior administrative, office, and communication skills and a positive, energetic personality
Have the ability to work with a variety of people and agendas in high pressure, fast paced situation
Reliable, punctual, courteous
Preferred Education
Associate’s Degree Some college level work or the equivalent educational experiences
