Temporary Customer Service Representative – Athens/Gainesville
JOB SUMMARY
This position will be filled as a temporary Customer Service Representative assignment. This is an intermittent usage position that will primarily support the Georgia Power Company business offices in Athens and Gainesville, but candidate must be willing to travel to other operating centers throughout the Northeast GA region. Duties can include responding to customer inquiries in a timely manner and processing large amounts of customer bill payments and service orders accurately. The successful candidate may also perform other office duties (cash reports, office logs, answering phone, etc). Virtual Call Center (VCC) duties may be required. This position requires the ability and willingness to promote Enhanced Services (Budget Billing, Flat Bill, and Electronic Funds Transfer, etc.) to our customers if needed.
**As a temporary intermittent assignment this position is not-full time, has no minimum guaranteed number of hours, is not a guarantee of future full-time employment, is called upon when dictated by Georgia Power’s business needs and includes no benefits.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience Requirements
Proven Customer Service experience is required
Experience working with commercial customers is preferred
Current or past experience with cash processes and back office customer service support is a plus.
Billing adjustment experience is preferred.
Working knowledge of cashier duties is required.

Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
Must be able to pass EEI Customer Service Rep test and the Georgia Power CVAT.
