  1. The Team: The team focuses on improving engineering efficiencies and effectiveness by augmenting our strategies for improving engineering Intellectual Property (IP) sharing and collaboration as well as evolving corporate level engineering processes.

  2. The Job: The position will work closely with the Senior Technical Director, Corporate Engineering Processes and IP Sharing and other key individuals.  The person will be responsible for creating, improving, and maintaining scripts, excel spreadsheets, websites (created from SharePoint, Confluence, etc.) serving the purpose of helping to communicate information of interest to a broad engineering audience across Broadcom as well as analysis and reporting of various types of people, engineering, and process data.

  3. The Requirements: Working toward a BSCS or MSCS, or equivalent with a 3.0 or higher GPA.   Student must have a strong academic focus on software development, software engineering, programming and related studies.  Good communicator with strong interpersonal skills.  Experience with using PERL, Python, C#, or other scripting, HTML languages as well as Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and Atlassian Confluence a strong plus.  Experience developing web applications and implementation of data structures and algorithms will be given preference.  Ability to use Word/Confluence for documentation purposes will be needed.  Familiarity and experience with revision control systems (e.g. CVS, Git, SVN, Perforce) as well as defect tracking systems (e.g. JIRA, Clear Quest) will be needed.  The candidate should exhibit a mature approach to quickly learning new concepts, have an excellent capability for attention to detail, be responsible and self-driven to complete tasks quickly with an emphasis on quality and pragmatics.
