• Manage the interface between design groups and the various foundries. This includes reviewing with designers the performance requirements and application-specific operating conditions, disseminating process development information to internal groups, driving foundry device design to meet future product requirements, and extracting the necessary technical and device performance data for design.


 


• Work with foundry and internal CAD to enable design with technology files and process design kits.


 


• Work with Manufacturing, Central Engineering, and Design to validate design IP.


 


• Collect design sensitivity data and bring the products to alternative foundries for manufacturing.


 


• Handle product tape out, verification of design rule violations, mask data, and process flows.


 


• Resolve prototype lot issues; determined whether problems are design or process related.


 


• Starting engineering corner lots and evaluate of parametric data vs. sort data.


 


• Work with the design teams to ensure product tape outs meet requirements for process window, manufacturing variation, electrical screening, and reliability.


 


• Hold pre-design kickoff and pre-tape out meetings to cover product quality assurance.


 


 


• Typically requires a BS degree in engineering and 12-15+ years of related experience or an MS degree and 9-12+ years of related experience or a PhD and 6-9+ years of related experience or equivalent


 


• Expertise in process development and device physics


 


• Effective communicator


 


• Good business sense to prioritize various projects in accomplishing key company goals


 


• Familiarity with circuit design concepts and building blocks for communication products


 


• Knowledge of analog design constraints and its interaction with key process parameters


 


• Strong in data analysis, design rule implementation, DOE and matrix/split lot design


 


• Experience in New Product Introduction, Characterization, Qualification, and Yield Improvement


 


• Prior experience in troubleshooting IC product issues


 


• 5% travel, domestic and international
