Assignment – Public Partnerships Engagement Strategy Consultant in New York, USA


Purpose:


Under the general guidance and direction of the PPD Senior Advisor, and in close collaboration with Partnerships Specialists, the Consultant will support the development and implementation of partnership engagement strategies for assigned member states, including the preparation of related documentation such as briefing notes, reports and notes.


Expected results and timeframe: (measurable results):


  1. Assist the PPD Europe Team in managing established programme funding relationships with assigned donor Governments, UN agencies, Inter-Governmental institutions, non-governmental organizations and selected Foundations

  2. Monitor, review and follow up all routine matters related to servicing donors/regions/field offices assigned to the Europe team, including: a) draft correspondence, write notes for the record, follow up on decisions, agreements and processing of contributions, as required; maintain and follow up partnership engagement strategies; b) respond to relevant donor/field office queries

  3. Contribute towards the preparation and implementation partnership engagement strategies and work plans with assigned Governments, UN agencies, Inter-Governmental institutions, non-governmental organizations and selected Foundations by researching and analyzing strategic information/data.

  4. Maintain up to date information on Member States, analyze development assistance policies, and assist in the preparation of donor profiles and briefing notes.

  5. Support the team in organizing key meetings and events and prepare reports and follow up actions.

Key competences, technical background, and experience required:


  • University degree in International Relations, Social sciences, or related technical field.

  • Excellent analytical and writing skills

  • Five years of progressively responsible professional work experience at the national and international levels in programme management, monitoring and evaluation, in a related field.
